Learnt a few things about Providence during my last visit and got a chance to walk around the historical downtown capturing some keepers.

The fourth largest dome in the world sits atop the Rhode Island statehouse
Originally built on seven hills though only six remain
It also has more degrees chefs than anywhere else in the country
Known for being the home of the Brown University
Plenty of wall murals and paintings around downtown
Known as merciful Providence as it was formed by people trying to flee religious persecution and violence
It also has more donut shops per capita than anywhere else in the United States
Built from guns from a state buy back program
