They say, its all about the photographer and not the camera. While the premise holds good as a general rule of thumb, having the right gear that makes you want to pick it up and venture out to capture pictures certainly goes a long way. Over the years, I have dabbled in several forms of equipment ranging from Yashika FX3, Vivitar 8000s, Nikon N70/80, Nikon D40/50/3700.
While the Nikons were great at taking pictures, I found myself capturing most of the on my iPhone and while it was great to capture a moment, it doesn’t afford much control over the aspects of photo taking. I was looking for something lighter and wanted to try my hands at some mirror less options and they basically came down to Sony and Fuji. Took a leap of faith on a Fuji XT-10 and it was something that instantly felt right. Over the years I have added the X-Pro2 and most recently the X-T30 to the kit along with amazing Fujinon glass and the whole ordeal has been nothing short of incredible.
At the moment, my gear consists of Fujinon primes: 35mm F2, 35mm 1.4, 27mm 2.8, 50 mm f2, and zooms 18-55mm, 50-200mm, 10-24mm. One fine day, I plan to restore the magical 100-400mm back to the kit.
